Stay in the heart of Lewisburg, take a stroll in the historic district and enjoy watching a movie in one of the few remaining single screen Art Deco theatres in the USA.
Here are some facts about the theatre:
- Opened in 1941, The Campus Theatre was designed by Philadelphia architect David Supowitz
- David Supowitz was renowned for his Revival Art Deco architecture, and his characteristic style graced 31 movie theatres. Of the 31, only 5 remain open today, including our own
- First movie shown was “Love Thy Neighbor” (1940) with Jack Benny, Fred Allen and Mary Martin.
- Original Neon Marquee
- Marquee messages are changed by hand with a Marquee wand – originally it had to be changed by hand w/a ladder. Marquee letters were metal, but are now plastic.
- Originally, the sidewalk under the Marquee had a reflective material embedded in the concrete to give the impression of glittering.
The Campus Theatre Studio is the perfect place to stay when visiting family, enjoying the many events in the area, shopping in all the unique shops or dining in the many restaurants in Lewisburg.
The Campus Theatre Studio offers an open floor plan with one large bedroom featuring a king size bed, a full kitchen and one bathroom.
Two full size fold-out couches can sleep four more guests.
Conveniently located within walking distance to Bucknell University, 30 minutes from Williamsport and the Little League World Series, just over an hour to Penn State University, and about an hour to Harrisburg, Pennsylvania.
You will find plush mattresses, plenty of pillows and extra blankets for your comfort.
Towels and linens are refreshed every three days to conserve natural resources.
A hair dryer, iron and ironing board are available. The Studio is air-conditioned and heated. Enjoy the fully equipped kitchen with a full size dining set. Complimentary WiFi internet provides access to the outside world and your entertainment. Books, playing cards and board games will keep you entertained.
SMOKING IS NOT PERMITTED ON THE PREMISES.
THE STUDIO IS NOT HANDICAP ACCESSIBLE, THERE ARE 20 STEPS UP TO REACH THE STUDIO, NO ELEVATOR IS AVAILABLE.
Parking is available one block off Market Street.
Metered parking is available on Market Street.
Rates and Policy
Rates are for double occupancy. Sorry, no animals are allowed.
Rates Per Night:
$180 Monday – Thursday rate
$200 Standard rate weekends (Non-Peak)
$800 Peak Events – Bucknell Alumni weekend, Bucknell Graduation, Bucknell Parents Weekend, Arts Festival, PennState Home Game weekends
$250 Little League champion week & weekend (includes parties up to 4
adults and 2 children)
Rates do NOT include 6% state sales taxes & 5% PA hotel tax.
Check-in time is 3 pm
Check-out time is 11 am
Two nights minimum stay is required on weekends.
Call for special events and peak weekend dates and our cancellation policy.
A cleaning fee of $90 will be added.
Weekly and Extended Stay:
Weekly and extended stay opportunities are available. Rates are for 2 adults and children under the age of 18.
Weekly linen service is provided and housekeeping can be arranged by request.
Rates for Weekly Stay:
1 week $1,260 plus 11% tax of $138.60
2 weeks $2,520 plus 11% tax of $277.20
3 weeks $3,780 plus 11% tax of $415.80
4 weeks $5,040 plus 11% tax of $554.40
Graduation and Peak Weekly Rate: $2,000 plus 11% tax of $220
Rates for Extended Stay:
For a period greater than 28 days, the rate is prorated at $150 per day.
Stays longer than 30 days do not incur PA state sales and hotel tax totaling 11%.
Payment:
Payment in full is expected when reservations are made. A sales link will be provided to pay online with a credit card. We accept Visa, MasterCard & Discovery.
Cancellations:
Lodging deposit (minus $50 handling fee) is refundable when notice of cancellation is given at least thirty (30) days prior to your scheduled arrival for NON-PEAK weekends. For Peak Event Weekends and Weekly and Extended Stay reservations please request a detailed cancellation policy. If cancellations are made after the designated time, we will make every effort to fill the reservation and return your deposit.
If we can not fill the vacancy, no refund. All cancellations must be made by phone. Please contact The Campus Theatre Studio for more information regarding the cancellation policy.
